We exist to bring people to Jesus.
To welcome them into His family, develop them into Christlike maturity, and equip them to serve the Lord in the Church and beyond, to the Glory of His name.

The Scriptures are the Word of God
The sixty six books of the Bible are the complete revelation of God to His people. God is their author and preserver and as such all they teach and command are the highest authority in the lives of God's people. The Scriptures work together in all their parts to proclaim the one Gospel and the one true and living God.
God Has Made Himself Known
He is the creator of all things. He alone exists eternally, without beginning or end in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Spirit. He reveals Himself in the Scriptures, most explicitly in the person of Jesus. Jesus is the Son of God, fully God, fully man. His perfect life, obedient death, and resurrection in power are the only means God has provided to reconcile people to Himself from all the nations of the Earth, for His glory and their eternal good.
The Cross is the Center of History
The death of the sinless Son of God on behalf of sinful men is the most significant event in all of history. Jesus' atoning work secures forever all the promises of God to His people: liberation from sin and the wrath of God, inheritance of the age to come, and fellowship with God Himself. Whoever believes the message of the Gospel is united to Jesus and receives the benefits of this atonement by faith.
The Church is a Plan A
All the people of God united to Him by faith, past and present, living and dead, are the Church. The Church exists to fill the Earth with the glory of God by worshiping Him in Spirit and Truth and spreading the Gospel to the ends of the world. At Providence, we fulfill that mission by gathering to worship the Lord regularly and seeking to promote the Gospel near and far. The Lord has given the Church generally and Providence specifically the mission of proclaiming the Gospel to the nations. He has no plan B. Providence is a democratically governed body that recognizes the offices of Pastors/Elders and Deacons. While all God's people are gifted for service within the Church we believe the Scriptures reserve the offices in the church for men.
Jesus is Coming Quickly
The return of the Lord Jesus to the Earth is the foundational hope of the Christian faith. He will gather all people to Himself, living and dead, and separate those who hope in Christ from those who do not. The wicked shall be sent to the Lake of Fire, separated from the presence of the Lord and His glory while the righteous will receive all the promises of the age to come. Creation will be made new and God will live with His people forever.
